Humantay Turquoise Lake Full Day Trek – A hidden gem in the Andean mountain range

A high‑mountain experience that begins at dawn in Cusco and connects you with the most breathtaking landscapes of the Peruvian Andes. Along the route, you will cross diverse ecological zones, rural communities, and sacred glaciers such as Humantay and Salkantay, spiritual guardians of the region.

Our specialized team ensures comfort and safety, allowing you to enjoy the trek carrying only your rain jacket and camera. The route includes strategic stops for acclimatization, contemplation of high‑Andean flora and fauna, and capturing unique postcards.

The Vilcanota range, located between the Urubamba and Apurímac rivers, forms a spectacular mountain chain. At its eastern end rises Mount Salkantay (6,270 m.a.s.l.), considered one of the most powerful Apus in Andean cosmology. The journey also passes through Mollepata, a picturesque Andean village built on the slopes of the Apurímac, the starting point towards Soraypampa and the lagoon.
